The hard part is making sure you are on story and on strategy as to why you put this up in the first place. Google loves a good blog. One that has relevant content and use good keywords and links. If you never update, Google’s got no reason to come back and never do your customers.
And don’t sound so official on a blog. The writing should be clever and smart (not boring Press Release fluff) and if someone leaves a comment then you should take in the feedback.
You also shouldn’t give up if you never get a comment. One of my favorite blogs, Adrants, hardly ever has a comment but I know five people in our company that read it everyday. And his social community is in the Adgabber is almost at five thousand people.
And be courtesy to others. Flaming competitors and/or leaving disparaging remarks can come back to bite you on the behind. Play nice out here. Your voice is all you got.
